Hebrews 12:14
Few take holiness seriously. I know I don’t. But I should. And it’s not just about representin’ God well… Everyone screws up, so you can’t always please those who would judge our God by our actions. It’s about becoming a person who would even feel at home in heaven. Right now I certainly wouldn’t.
We also don’t do a good job at making “every effort to live in peace with everyone”.

- Malachi 2:17 Take heed, this generation that seeks to call nothing ‘evil’, and justify all who practice it. I am not pointing fingers only outward; I practice evil. I too am broken. I need to be fixed, mended; remade. I cannot do it myself. Until I am fixed and sanctified and made to be in harmony with God’s order, I am not good. To call something good that is evil is to slander God’s perfect order, which is so infinitely superior to the things we put up with as ‘good’. |

Philippians 4:8 This is one of my favorite verses! At least, in terms of being helpful in shaping my attitude and thought-life. Jesus isn’t about DOs and DON’Ts as much as SHOULDs and SHOULDN’Ts. Sure, I can go to a violent movie, but is it pure? Lovely? Admirable? Shouldn’t I rather be spending my time absorbing things which are excellent and praiseworthy? via classyliving |

We are always slaves of something; either sin or God. |

Romans 8:31 This was my favorite verse during high school. It meant a lot to me to know that, ultimately, no one could take me down. via dailybibleverse |
Philipians 4:13
This is a great verse; just remember that when Paul says “do everything”, in the context he is referring primarily to enduring all hardships, financial and otherwise, for the sake of Christ.
