Sometimes I wonder if that is why your avatar picture looks the way it does… to help lower people’s standards. I’ve seen your pics. You are a good-looking guy. Your avatar, on the other hand, not so groovy. Maybe you have personality defects?
That avatar is of a comic-book character I made up. I created that digital image of him. I thought I made him fairly good-looking, but apparently not so much.

Avatar vs Predator
I can’t tell you how much I approve of this. Because I think we all know who’s going to win, here.

Avatar Review by Red Letter Media
I love redlettermedia so much. His review of Avatar is spot-on. If you haven’t heard his extensive reviews of StarWars: Episode 1 and Episode 2, you owe it to yourself to set a few hours aside and watch them.
“A South Korean movie theater cornered that elusive fourth dimension is by engaging all five senses: moving seats, wind, water sprinkling, lasers, and synthetic smells are all used in time with the movie.”
Sure, it’s a gimmick, but if it is done well, I am all up for trying this kind of movie-going experience.

Audiences experience ‘Avatar’ blues | cnn.com Apparently, record numbers of movie fans are seeking consolation in online forums from their depression over not being able to retreat to the picturesque but fictional world of Pandora from Avatar. At first, my inclination was to roll my eyes at these seemingly emotionally-unstable people. But, to be honest, I felt kind of the same way. I loved the planet portrayed in the movie, but I didn’t feel depressed because I couldn’t go there: probably because I still intend to. Particularly, Pandora reminded me of the world portrayed in CS Lewis’ sci-fi novel Perelandra, where there is synergy between all living things, and the animals work in cooperation with the people. From other things I have read of Lewis’, I think he would respond that this desire people feel to go to Pandora is a God-given longing for our future world, where He will have healed the planet and our souls, and there will be no more tears. Lewis:
Pandora IS real. It is the world our world is meant to be, and will be. |
Love the movie! Thought it’s like the Pocahontas cartoon x technology x blue. Still, it’s a good one. I wanna watch it again in 3D. =)
My first and only time watching the movie was in 3-D. It was really good! But $4 for a pair of glasses that you even give back afterwards? Come on

I really liked it.
But here’s my question:
When “Watchmen” came out, everyone and their dog was complaining about big blue penis on-screen. But since “Avatar” has come out, I have not come across one single complaint about blue kitteh boob on-screen…
Double-standard, anyone?
When if ever will you change your avatar?
I don’t tend to change my avatars much. It is a computer picture I made of the comic-book character I invented, Colin Tam, and I think he looks way cooler than I do, so I will probably leave it.
