personally, i’m gonna go ahead and agree with the fact that bikers should try to stay off the road or all the way to the side as much as possible if it is completely necessary to ride your bike somewhere. if there is a sidewalk, USE IT. i don’t technically HAVE to swerve out of my way to not hit you when you hit that asphalt. a sidewalk is not just for walking, it’s for riding...

I really don’t understand why anyone would ride a bike on a road.
Driving is already the most dangerous thing you can do, why accept all of the risks without affording yourself any of the protection?
Um, where else am I supposed to ride? Maybe your town has tons of bike paths, but I have to ride on the street if I want to get to work.

Yesterday another cyclist was hit in my town, while making a legal left-turn. Mingo Pelkey, 39, was wearing a helmet, signaled her turn, but a driver was impatient and while passing another car on the left, hit and killed her.
People, please stop allowing yourself the luxury of impatience when you’re behind the wheel.
Don’t forget you’re driving a 1-ton bullet.
